@thedjcamacho how often do u actually need to read the temperature on a normal day? taking the watch off for a few minutes isn’t too much of an act in my opinion. if u r on a hike u can hold the watch by the strap on the go so u r not even losing time.
@Jocee888 as pointed out if u want to measure the temperature u should take it off and wait a few minutes
i want this watch so bad. but would it work if u pushed and pulled the buttons under water. and would the compass still work under water?

Wouldn’t catch yourself dead wearing a Timex? Why not? Do they not provide adequate value for the the money that they cost? What’s it like to be too good for a particular brand of watch?

@jerryg50 these watches are servicable ! the way they are taken apart is different from conventional watches and u need to know what you are doing.i have a lot of timex and have only come across 1 or 2 that needed more than regular service(clean and oil,make sure all is tight).of course a lot of jewelers will bad mouth timex instead admitting that cant or dont want to repair them.but they can just remove dial and hands and put into solution.timex did make a few 21 jewel movements too,i have 1

one messed up watch
I collect Watches, and I have more Timex than any other – dating from 1960s through to present. Never had to have one repaired or serviced EVER! All still in working order and all keep great time! Must say something!
Back in the 1960′s, I had a number of these Timex watches. It’s true they are not serviceable. They way they are built they cannot be serviced. In 1960, $10 US was equivalent to about $120 US in today’s dollars. When a digital Timex watch is serviced, Timex will change the complete electronics module. Their watches are still excellent for the price and performance. If you had some of these old Timex watches, they would be excellent collector items to have.
Timex watches are brilliant! They are always reliable. I own two, and they are great value for money!
Please help…..can anyone tell me where I can find a personalized watch where the numerals are replaced with the letters of someone’s name? Cannot find these or where I can have one made. Thanks!
