This is an old pocket watch I bought from the markets. It’s sitting around with a dead battery for ages now and I figured I’d do some work on it.
I suppose I’m trying to go for a steampunk look.
The irony is that I’m trying to buy some spare watch parts (cogs and what-not) to make it look the part.
And yes, that’s the original face on in the bottom righthand corner – all mangled and full of holes.

Question–: What is a good beginners book for pocket watches?
I have become very interested in pocket watches. There are few books on Amazon, but I would like to know from watch collectors what they would recommend for a beginner. Basically, I would like to know the basics so I won’t be completely screwed if I see something on eBay or in an shop. Thank you!
