It wants to be around you and is curious. Cats are intuitive, dog just follow you around because they know you give them food. It wants to learn things from you. I would give anything for my cats to stick to me like glue.

AWE… the little guy is just curious… If you show him enough he will eventually just continue watching tv or read the paper or surf the net… and forget you were ever of the opposite sex! Wow that sounds really familiar!

I don’t know..I have some questions about that too…for example when I’m in my bedroom my cat scratches the carpet until I open the door, the same if I’m in the kitchen…but when I’m on the toilet my cat sits on an armchair outside and waits…I mean how does she know its a private moment??? They’ve been persons in their other life ¬¬

Cats actually have an insatiable need for humor and require a good belly laugh once in a while. The sight of a naked human body is sufficient to last any cat for a week. There is nothing perverse or sensual in this for the cat. It is merely fulfilling a need.

Well I have a Bengal, I have no idea what breed your cat is, but some cats have a curiousity about water. My cat, being a Bengal, constantly wants to play with water. I give him a shower once a month with me just to keep him happy. If he doesn’t get his once a month shower, he’ll just walk right in on me. Also your cat probably wants attention. My cat Gwen, likes me to pet her while I’m using the bathroom because I’m sitting down and vulnerable. She likes it when I can’t pick her up.

P.S. In my case, the cat wanted mine to be his playmate! They were so cute together.

If your cat is female and the other is a male, then kittens may very well be on the way. Otherwise, sometimes cats form a strong bond with other things, whether people, animals, other cats, anything. My cats always play with and follow each other, always sleep in a pile. If your cat starts to get fat in two weeks, a month (a cat’s gestation period (the length of time they carry the kittens in their tummy) is approximately sixty days, or two months), then chances are it’s preggers, otherwise, they’ve probably just bonded.

COULD IT BE HIS SHADOW ?
Answer by melissahalvorsen
If your cat is not a female in heat, it could be that the other cat is just curious. Also, cats are very territorial. Sometimes a new cat will follow other cats around just to see where their territory is. If it is a young cat, it might just be looking for company. Check your cat for signs of a fight (bites, scratches, ruffled fur) to make sure the other cat isn’t picking on him when you aren’t watching. If they are fighting, it would be best to keep your cat indoors until the new cat looses interest.

Assuming your cat is female, it means it’s time to plan for kittens. If you don’t want kittens, I strongly suggest spaying your cat. Keep in mind that it may already be too late.

Daisy doesn’t really watch much TV. This may be because we don’t cater to her tastes, but she seems to be fascinated by big cat shows on Animal Planet.
