Casual Watches–: What is a nice casual watch for a 16 year old?
My boyfriends turning 16 soon. we’ve been together 2 years, and i want to get him a watch as a gift. i’m looking to spend no more than £50. Does anyone have any ideas?
He’s the kind of lad who wears a lot of Oakley and Oneill etc. if that helps..

any surfing brand would probably be good, so try your nearest animal store.
If not, just put surf clothes into google, and try one of those websites.

I’ve used the Casio Wave Ceptors for a while now, and love them. I bought my first one when I was 17 years old. They are not overly expensive, and have good features (mine is atomic, solar power, and waterproof) in an attractive design. Many people have asked me how much I paid for it, and honestly, not much. It’s the Casio Wave Ceptor “WVM120DJ-7″, but there are many models to choose from. Digital, Analogue. Metal band, rubber band, leather band. Silver, Gold. Any style you want. I’ve never had any problem with this series.

I”d go with either Fossil or Timex.

Fossil has a lot of great casual/sport styles (metal band) that are water resistant and go great with casual wear. I wore a fossil watch for over 10 years before it gave up the ghost.

Same thing with Timex. I had an ironman watch that I wore for almost 7 years. I still have it in a drawer. The Ironman is a more sport specific style so it doesn’t match all clothing. Timex does make some great casual watches, as well.

Q&A–: Asked this yesterday and it didn’t get answered. Does anyone know about watches?
I’m a high school kid so obviously i won’t be buying a rolex or anything of that nature. However i am looking to get a good looking watch for a decent price. i looked at the armitron sport casual watches and they looked pretty good and were only about . Are any of those worth getting? Are there any watch brands you would recommend?

And just out of curiosity what makes a good watch?

Personally Ilike the Timex brand for watches. They are durable and inexpensive. You can usually get a nice one for around at walmart, shopko, target….all those discount stores carry Timex.

Oh Yeah, Ilike the “indiglo” version because it lights up with a blue light behind the watch face when I press a button, and I go out at night doing star gazing a lot so I need to be able to see it in the dark. Indiglo version of Timex is usually a tad bit more money and works well.

one time i saw this lady doing her walking in the park. she had on like black long loose pants and a long grey cardigan, and she had her hair in one of those sort of cloth hair wraps that maybe had an animal print to it. something about how she moved and how she seemed totally unselfconscious, not like "here i am walking in the park" but seemed like just matter of fact just going about things without thinking that anybody watching her or whatever… something about her was totally ELEGANT, even in baggy comfortable clothes for going to walk at the park in.

i tried to make my Friday Foster look like a little bit like her.
